Dr. Ben has been gracious with his words in this thoughtful blog on life and its tangents. He has found a humanity often lost in our banal mindscapes and shared it with candor. I can only hope to emulate this blogs’ successes without diluting its heart. And so I raise my hand to you Dr. Ben, and thank you for this opportunity.
About myself: I am a foreign policy expert who is weak on community organization skills, although I participated in a study of ACORNs as an undergraduate.  I live in rural Virginia and am slowly losing patience with the “Triumph of the Will”-esque political fantasies the natives are so keen to vocalise once they misperceive my taciturn incredulity as encouragement to spout their word-rash.  My goal in life is to one day return to Newark, NJ on Portugal Day.  You will get to know me more over the coming days.
